Nobody Is Ever Missing previewed to sold-out audiences over a three-night run at the Voxel Theater. Its outdoor premiere was met with similar enthusiasm, drawing crowds of a hundred-plus attendees to Stony Run Park. Feedback from both events praised the dream-like pacing, the clarity of the text, and the inventive approach to staging.

Mind on Fire presents a compelling and immersive interior journey
Baker writes that the score captures the drift of a mind wandering alone with its own thoughts, and that halting string and clarinet writing conveys aimlessness while the vocal line's circular shape mirrors the character's churning interior monologue. Baker called the production's restraint and clarity essential to making such intimate, private emotion land in the theater.

How to Time Travel
Writing about seeing her own novel staged for the first time, Lacey described being moved to tears by the production, struck in particular by how the novel's recurring "wildebeest" became the opera's percussion feature, and by soprano Heather Morrison's final image consumed by tangled brush at the close of the piece. She called the whole experience "absolutely brilliant."
